Documents relating
to planning application and appeal
The documents relating to the original application all appeared on the official UK Planning web site, but were removed when the application was decided. We are grateful to Fife Council for restoring these to the public domain. The files have been grouped together, and arranged in date order as far as possible, and made available in Adobe Acrobat format.
Note that, because of the vagaries of the web site, most of the responses made through the web-based form have not yet been made available to us.
The appeal by the developer
In order to better understand the situation, the Reporter will make at least one visit to the site, at which objectors can be present, but his/her task is primarily to review documentary evidence. All the previous papers relating to the application and objections will be made available, together with any new material from objectors, but a key item is the considered response by the developer to the committee’s rejection, which takes the form of a “statement of case” prepared by a professional town planning consultant.
For ease of access, this document has been split into two sections, supported by seven appendices, most of which are repeats of material already in the public domain:
Note that item 6 is used to support the developer’s contention that sufficient school places are available, and item 7 proposes a reduction from 30 to 26 of the number of parking spaces provided on the site.
